Title: Traction 3.7.3.0_19.1 Fixes Failure to Send Digest in version posted from May 4th through May 10th

Traction versions 3.7.3.0 patches 17-19 are unable to send email digests due to a resource file that was omitted from the installer. In order to get the digests working, you can add the resource file manually (read this full article for instructions) or download and install the current version (3.7.3.0 patch 19.1 or later) from download.traction…. Applying the Update Manually



To install the missing file, follow these steps:

1. Download the file digest_subject.properties to your computer.

2. If your browser renamed the file to something like digest_subject.properties.txt, remove the .txt extension, so the file's name is digest_subject.properties.

3. Log in as a server administrator on your Traction server.

4. Edit the URL in your browser to specify the path config/settings/props/skin/ after your server's base URL. The page that appears should look like this:



5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Browse..." button in the Add Files section, then choose the file you download and choose "open" from the dialog.



6. After you have selected the file, click the "Upload" button.

7. The file will be uploaded and the page will redraw. The file should then show in the list in alphabetical order.

8. Click the button at the top-right to leave the file view.

9. Go to Server Setup.



10. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the "restart Traction" button.



After the server restarts, digest emails should begin sending correctly on schedule.
