Title: Preventing Office Documents from Opening Inside the Browser Window
In some cases, you may not want Word, Excel, or PowerPoint attachments
or shared files to open inside the browser. In order to have the actual
application open instead, follow these steps.
Go to the Windows Explorer (what you use to browse local files and folders
like My Documents).
Select "Folder Options..." from the "Tools" menu:
Select the "File Types" tab and select "DOC - Microsoft
Word Document".
Click the "Advanced" button.
Un-check the "Browse in same window" checkbox.
You can repeat these instructions for each Office file type.
