Hi folks. Chris from Traction here, to let you know that we've finished qualifying the next 4.2 build, and it's a big one. This build includes the new TeamPage Release 4.2 features previewed at this year's Traction User Group meeting. We hope that you enjoy them and find them as useful as we do.
This release includes the following changes. You can always download the latest Traction TeamPage release from /share/customer/dist/latest.
Note: Rebuild Required. Due to the addition of the Table of Contents feature, this version will require an index rebuild before it will run. Please plan your upgrade accordingly. For the smoothest upgrade experience, we recommend that you back up before you upgrade, and that you upgrade a copy of your production environment before upgrading your live environment.
New Features
• Proteus Skin Preview. Starting with 4.2.37, the preview of the Proteus skin is packaged and selectable. If you wish to prevent users at your site from accessing the Proteus preview you can use the Disable Proteus plug-in. Proteus requires IE 7 or higher, Firefox 3 or higher, Safari 4 or higher, or Google Chrome. While we feel that this preview is usable and enjoyable as it is, it's currently a work-in-progress, see About Proteus.
• Automatic Table of Contents generation based on parent/child relationships created with the edit children feature in the article editor.
• Support for Attivio Search. Customers licensed for Attivio will be provided with access to the Attivio Search project, which contains installation instructions.
• Project completer. The default project navigator is now a project completer instead of a pull-down menu.
Pressing delete in an empty completer gives a complete project list. The old pull-down behavior can still be selected via a skin preference:
• Spaces and Tags locale. It's not yet the shipping default, but if you want it to be your default, you can switch to the new terminology.
Performance Enhancements
• We completed a number of significant performance enhancements for journals with large numbers of users and projects, affecting both content and administrative views.
