This release includes the following changes. You can always download the latest TeamPage release from /share/customer/dist/latest.
User Experience Improvements
• Added a Create New Project tool for creating new projects without going to the admin interface.
• Added a Create New Account tool for creating new accounts without going to the admin interface.
• Added a new Setup Assistant that helps guide administrators through remaining configuration activities.
• Created a new first journal creation interface to help people get TeamPage up and running quickly and easily.
• Overhauled the installer. The installer now sends signals to stop the running service, and launches TeamPage in a browser window after completion. In Firefox and Safari, command line output is echoed in the browser window.
• Created an updated, consistent visual style for the self-registration, journal creation, restart, and login pages.
• Created new icons for project and server setup, and moved administrative tools to an Adminster section in the sidebar.
• Implemented all changes from Forum1902.
• Updated the TinyMCE toolbar graphics. The remove formatting icon should now be more telegraphic.
• Improved styling in the Migrate Principals interface, to make it easier to find unmigrated principals.
• When creating a project based on a template or an existing project, the default is now to copy the sections and ACL from that template instead of using the server default sections.
Other Feature Changes
• Turned off section links on the front page by default. Front page section links can be re-enabled by changing the skin customization property Display/Hide Frontpage Section Navigation Links in Sidebar (See Doc56.056: Customizing Skin Settings).
• Turned off section links on the newspage by default. Newspage section links can be re-enabled by changing the skin customization property Display/Hide Newspage Section Navigation Links in Sidebar. (See Doc56.065: Customizing Skin Settings).
• Principal migration now performs a lookup against the account name, not the username.
• WebDAV is now the default attachment store for new journals.
• Removed requirement that street address be entered for self-registration. (UX2350.03)
• Traction now prevents multiple people from using the same email address. Administrators are told which user already has the email address specified. (Server44649.01)
• IE8 and Safari 4 are now recognized.
• Removed Notices from the default digest sections.
• The embed plug-in is packaged by default. This lets users embed any pasted content into articles, such as Google Calendars, media links, or other web widgets. This plug-in normally appears only for server administrators, who can designate a server group of users who are granted access to the embed widget.
• The setting for what types of events to be notified on now has a "use default" option.
SDK/SDL Changes
• It's now possible to override the Core.properties bundle in a plug-in.
• Added new config.*.set SDL tags for setting user, project, server, journal, etc. properties. (Server44674.02)
Command Line Tools
• Improved command line usage instructions for getproj.
• Getproj now migrates user properties such as profile image.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a problem where mailbox information was lost when creating a new project based on an existing one. (BCG2797)
• Worked around problem in Safari browsers caused by 450 character limitation in regular expression matching that could cause links inserted via the link dialog to cause JavaScript errors.
• In the unusual case where someone can read a project but not its share folder, FAST Search results no longer include a permission denied error for content in share folder that matches the search criteria. The search result count will still include the unreadable documents in the counts, but no information regarding that content will be displayed in the search results interface. Note that this could result in a discrepancy between the number of results displayed and the number of matches reported by FAST, e.g. the page may display "showing 1-4 of 4 results", yet display only three hits. (BCG2847)
• Fixed misleading debug output in Active Directory userdirectory logging, which incorrectly referred to Active Directory as Virtual Directory Server.
Internationalization
• Internationalized several new resources (AKJ8309, AKJ8308, AKJ8307, AKJ8305, AKJ8304, AKJ8290, AKJ8288, AKJ8316, AKJ8289, AKJ8286, AKJ8336)
