Title: Changelog for TeamPage 4.1.5.1

This release includes the following changes. You can always download the latest TeamPage release from /share/customer/dist/latest.

Installation and Running

• Simplified and streamlined the installation process. The installer now prompts for a license file on the first install, attempts to stop the Windows service, and defaults to starting the service. At the end of the Windows install, it launches a web page that launches TeamPage. A new journal is automatically created for new installs, so after the installation, the next user interaction is with a new journal. This is the first step of an overhaul of the initial installation process, and your comments and feedback are welcome.

• Changed the filename to which console output is directed from traction.out to traction.out.txt to allow it to be displayed and updated automatically inline in Firefox. The S99Traction script and Macintosh TractionRunner launcher scripts have also been updated to reference the new filename; if you have installed these scripts, you may wish to re-install them, although they will continue to function for startup and shutdown without being updated.

Interface Changes

• Create a new option for FAST Search, to set the default query type to All Words.

• Eliminated URL length related problems with opening dialogs in the rich text editor. This could cause uploads of many attachments or images on the same entry to fail. (Server43507)

• Fixed formatting of Project Setup > Permissions page in Internet Explorer. (NHSUK507)

• Fixed handling of quotation marks in the attachment descriptions which could lead to difficulty using the link dialog to link to attachments.

• The Insert Link dialog now supports Simple and Advanced Modes. Simple mode uses the selectors to make an RS expression for you. Advanced mode allows custom authoring. Also made some fixes to existing code that deals with link token parsing for the insert link dialog. (Server43634).

• When the system has more than 25 users, the bulk digest configuration option Server Setup > Email > Digest > Recipients of Server Digests is no longer displayed. Digests can still be subscribed and unsubscribed on a per-user basis. (Server43646.01)

Mail Processing

• Improved processing of a particular broken mail idiom unique to the Macintosh Mail.app program. (Server43532)

Bug Fixes

• Fixed Forum1847.

• Fixed issue where compressed logfiles sometimes weren't deleted. Note that this fix does not go through and delete original logfiles where compressed versions are present, so we recommend removing either the compressed or the original version of logfiles for which both copies are still present on the system. This will result in order files being compressed and the originals removed. (Server43649)

• Now the user's display name appears at the top of the profile view even for users who don't have access address book permissions. (Server43660)

• getproj should now preserve user profile images.

Login, Authentication and Permissions

• For LDAP servers, the user directory configuration now designates the principal type rather than determining it dynamically, which previously could lead to inconsistencies in certain cases. In order for the change to take effect, the User Directory needs to be regenerated. To do this, go to the Modify User Directory page, make the page for the active user directory dirty by changing something and setting it back, then save and restart. (Server43654.02)

• Fixed a problem with NTLM authentication that could lead to authentication failures resulting from improperly encoded principals. (Server43709)

• The system now ensures that the principal mapping is updated when the user's name is changed. (Server43712)

• The sign out link is no longer displayed when running with NTLM. (Server39045)

• Eliminated "own" permissions handling for Visitor; Visitor cannot be granted "read own", which allows all visitors to read drafts posted by any visitor. (Server43747, Server43735)

• Users can no longer choose an email address that is already in use. If an administrator attempts to choose an address that is in use, a link to the profile that currently uses the address is displayed. (Server43762, Server43661)

• Fixed a case sensitivity issue with the require password change feature that could prevent users from being able to log in if the username they entered didn't exactly match the case of the account as it was originally created. (Server43773)

Plug-ins

• Added an option to disable Google Charts in the metrics plug-in (AKJ8211) and updated the metrics installer to version 1.1.8 (see Customer1534)

• Updated the DbConnect plug-in to version 1.1.4 to prevent erased entries from being displayed in metrics or ratings queries. This plug-in is delivered as part of Traction, and can also be downloaded from the plug-in archive.
