Title: Logging in and Setting Your Password

Note: This section does not apply if your server is configured to use NTLM with Active Directory, in which case your login should be automatic.

When your Traction account is created, your administrator may provide you a URL, a username, and, optionally, an initial password. Click the URL to get to the Traction server.

You will either be presented with a login form (shown below, if Visitor is not enabled on your server) or with the Front Page as it would appear to a Visitor with no permissions.

If you are presented with the Front Page, click the Sign In link in Account tools which appear in the right column:

In the login form enter your username and password into the fields, then click the Login button. The password field is case-sensitive.

If you have not been given a password, try leaving the password field blank or following the instructions in What if you Forget Your Password

If you do not have a username and password, you may click Login as Visitor if the option is present, or contact your administrator.

Remember Me?

Check the remember me box if present to avoid signing in again after you close your browser.

Once you log on, you may be required to choose a password. If you see this screen, type your new password in each field and press the apply button in the lower right. This will take you into Traction.
